Just a swinging 💚

This week, our 3rd-5th graders got to experience Kentucky History as told by KY Shakespeare's Living Show actors.

These girls taught Mrs. Terry how to code robotic bugs to accomplish a task.

Our district’s first-year special education teachers visited on Monday to experience our model co-teaching classroom, as recognized by WKEC.

Mrs. G is always up to help when needs arise and a small group needs a leader!

Students of the Week for Positive Behaviors

Mrs. Sherry was so proud of Ellie that she invited her to come show off her hard work for Mrs. Terry and Mrs. Bevil in the office—and she did an amazing job!

Fourth Grade Exercise Challenge 💪

Fourth grader, Kasen Grief, earned the opportunity to be a P.E. Assistant on Friday.

Wally the Wise Guy visited on Friday to remind our students how to stay safe in the event of a chemical release. It was impressive to hear how much they could recall from his visit in the Fall.

If you’re a kindergarten parent, we hope you’ve had a chance to talk with your child about their learning this week—because you’re going to be impressed!
Our kindergarten students have been diving into learning about our country through the Wonders curriculum, and wow—Mrs. Terry was so impressed that she invited Mrs. Blair (5th grade Social Studies teacher) to come see their work, too!
Students can share about the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, the Supreme Court, and the three special gifts given to our nation as America was formed. They even wrote thank-you cards to France, China, and Japan to show their appreciation for those gifts.
Mrs. Terry had the opportunity to read a few of the letters, and they were truly impressive. We are so proud of our young learners! 🇺🇸✨

📚✨ Big growth happening in our 3rd grade classrooms! ✨📚
Our students are digging into learning during small reading groups, where instruction is targeted, intentional and just right for what they need. In these groups, students are building fluency, strengthening comprehension and growing their confidence as readers every single day.
You’ll see teachers guiding discussions, asking thoughtful questions and helping students make meaning from what they read—all while students are actively engaged and supporting one another.
This is where the magic happens… small groups, big impact. 💚 And, every once in a while one of those groups gets to meet with Mrs. Terry in her office.

We are thankful for how these ladies impact our students and staff every single day.

PTO has a fun night planned when we return from Spring Break!
