We think reading is the best sport!

A little Dr. Seuss fun to celebrate Read Across America Week - we started the day reading "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and ended the day with a fun snack.

Indoor recess isn't always a bad thing.

STLP will NOT meet tomorrow, March 3rd.
It's time for a little extra fun as we celebrate the gift of READING this week!

Classes of the week - CONGRATULATIONS!

Math WIN - kids playing UNO to build critical thinking skills for math! This is a great activity to enjoy at home, as well! Post a photo in the comments of your family playing UNO this weekend!

Mrs. Tana applied for an incredible opportunity through Murray State to have some of their athletes visit her students — and today it happened!
We are so thankful to the student-athletes from Murray State University for spending time with our kids and for the awesome shirts. 💙💛
Experiences like this inspire our students in the very best ways!

Mrs. Terry challenged these first graders this morning with double ten-frame problem-solving! 🟩➕🟩
They stretched their thinking, built numbers in new ways and showed some serious math confidence. We love seeing our Green Devils grow even when it's hard! 💚

This week, Marshall County Schools have participated in a scheduled Title I Consolidated Monitoring visit with the Kentucky Department of Education.
As part of this process, KDE representatives have visited schools across the district to review documentation, conduct interviews and see firsthand how Title I funds support student learning.
At Sharpe Elementary, we were proud to showcase the intentional systems, instructional practices and student supports that help our Green Devils grow every day. One of the highlights was welcoming one of our visitors into preschool to see our youngest learners actively engaged in hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning.
Monitoring visits are an important opportunity to reflect, celebrate our strengths and ensure we are aligned in providing high-quality, equitable opportunities for every student.
We are grateful for the dedication of our staff and the continued partnership that supports our students and families. 💚
